BUBBELS

BUBBELS the clown has been clowning since 1988.

In 1992 he became the first ever South African clown to attend CLOWN CAMP at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse in the U.S.A.
He attended this intensive clown training program again in 1994, 1997, 2005 and 2008. The last 3 times he was also a staff member of this program, presenting workshops and classes.

During November 2010 Bubbels represented South Africa at the first ever International Clown Festival in India. He was performing, working and teaching clowning with a group of International clowns from around the world.

Bubbels is an active member of the World Clown Association, founder of the South African Clown Register and also founder and organizer of “The Monthly Clown Confabulation”.

SPECIALITIES.

BUBBELS the clown work for the age group 5 to 85 years of age.
He uses a combination of “funny-bits-of-business”, razor sharp humor and “add lib” impromptu clowning, witty comments, his very own style of clown magic, traditional clown silliness and more to entertain his audience. With years of experience he is also great with balloon sculpting and often combines one or other fancy balloon creation into some of his shows.
Bubbels has a variety of themed shows for parties, nursery schools, Grade 1 open days and even an adult show. Please note that the adult show is good clean, “above the belt” humor, you can bring the kid’s along to his adult show; Bubbels guarantee that nobody will be embarrassed by nobody.

DID YOU KNOW?

The South African Clown Register is a free register for active clowns in South Africa. It was started by BUBBELS the clown and its main purpose is to try and prevent clown name duplication which usually leads to confusion.
Also, there is an unwritten rule that no clown will copy another clown’s make-up design.
