Cakes Tips
It is important to remember that the box in which we pack our birthday cakes is more or less 50cm x 50cm x + 20cm high. Keep this in mind on the day that you come to collect the cake. Having the car’s boot full of other things such as baby prams, vegetables, beer or whatever probably might prevent you to place the box on a flat surface.
Bringing the whole family along, especially if you have a small car is also not a good idea. It is best to place the cake box on a flat surface such as the floor of the car such as in front of the front passenger seat or in the boot.
Cigarette smoke really is a big spoiling factor of the true taste of a freshly baked cake. Please don’t smoke in your car while the cake is inside the car with you, remember the kids want to taste the cake.
Do not store the cake in the fridge; it will be perfectly fine inside the box in a cool place out of direct sunlight. Do not leave the cake open and exposed to wind for
a long period of time, this might dry out the texture of the cake.
If you have a special design in mind, please order long in advance. If something needs to be hand crafted we will need more time for preparations.
If there is any left over cake, cut it into slices and pack them in a plastic container to freeze. Pack the slices next to one another, but not on top of each other and freeze. If you feel like a slice of cake, simply remove from container and place on a cooling rack to unfreeze.
